In line with its mandate to ensure public safety and effective emergency response, the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) of Alitagtag has been placed on Blue alert for the 2025 National and Local Elections.

Under the leadership of MDRRMC Chairperson Hon. Edilberto G. Ponggos and MGDH-MDRRMO Richard Ian A. Bautista, the MDRRMO has activated its Emergency Operations Center (EOC) to provide 24/7 monitoring of polling areas and rapid deployment capabilities for any emergency situation that may arise before, during, or after election day.

The MDRRMO remains committed to safeguarding the welfare of every Alitagtagenyo by coordinating closely with relevant agencies, ensuring swift response measures, and maintaining a visible presence in strategic locations across the municipality.

We urge all residents to remain calm, vigilant, and cooperative throughout the election period as we strive for a peaceful, orderly, and secure electoral process.

In line with RDRRMC Memorandum No. 40, s.2025 regarding the maintenance of Blue Alert Status and the implementation of Emergency Preparedness and Response Protocols, and in anticipation of the increased volume of travelers within the Area of Responsibility (AOR) of the Municipality of Alitagtag during the observance of Holy Week and the Summer Vacation (SumVac) 2025, the Alitagtag Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO), under the leadership of MDRRMC Chairperson Hon. Edilberto G. Ponggos, has activated its Incident Management Team (IMT).

In collaboration with various stakeholders, the MDRRMO has deployed personnel to strategic locations to ensure the safety and security of the public, closely monitor emerging situations, and promptly respond to any emergencies that may arise. This proactive measure aims to mitigate the potential impact of human-induced hazards and ensure a safe and orderly environment for both residents and visitors throughout the Holy Week and summer period.

The Alitagtag MDRRMO remains committed to delivering efficient and effective emergency response and upholding public safety through coordinated efforts and continuous vigilance.

Sa tamang paghahanda, ligtas ang bawat isa. Nagsanib-puwersa ang LGU Alitagtag sa pamamagitan ng MDRRMO Alitagtag, lokal na kawani ng pamahalaan, Alitagtag PNP, BFP at mga barangay, at paaralan sa matagumpay na 1st Quarter Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill 2025. Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office Alitagtag, thru the effort of the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council Chairman Hon. Edilberto G. Ponggos with the MGDH-MDRRM Officer Richard Ian A. Bautista spearheaded the 4 Day Ambulance Operations and Basic Light Search and Rescue Training in partnership with Philippine Red Cross Batangas Chapter, in line with the implementation of the Republic Act 10121 also known as “Philippine Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Act of 2010  held Janaury 27, 28, 29 and 30, 2025  at Barangay Concordia Covered Court.

With all things considered, a dire need to conduct a Capability Building on Four Thematic of Disaster including Ambulance Operations and Basic Light Search and Rescue is imperative to overcome the challenges to build green and resilient community. This training program aims to strengthen the capacity of Alitagtag MDRRMO personnel, and Barangay Responders in disaster prevention and mitigation, disaster preparedness, disaster response and disaster rehabilitation and recovery. With these training, the participants was able to harness new knowledge and skills that could help them to perform efficiently in times of disaster operation.
