Linis Bayan 2025: Strengthening Community Resilience through Cleanliness
The Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (MDRRMC), under the leadership of Chairperson Hon. Jo-Ann B. Ponggos, in coordination with the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO), successfully conducted the “Bayanihan para sa Kaligtasan: Linis Bayan” clean-up drive on September 11, 2025.
This initiative was conducted in cognizance of Executive Order No. 013, Series of 2025, titled “An Order Implementing a Town-Wide Linis Bayan Clean-Up Drive”, which mandates a municipality-wide environmental campaign. The activity was also deeply rooted in the Filipino spirit of bayanihan, encouraging collective action for community safety and environmental resilience.
This collective effort served as a strong reminder that disaster preparedness and community resilience begin with a clean and healthy surroundings. The Linis Bayan initiative was not only a clean-up drive but also a reflection of the municipality’s commitment to public health, environmental stewardship, and community camaraderie.
The Municipal Government of Alitagtag extends its gratitude to all who participated in the activity.
Through continuous collaboration and active participation, the municipality moves one step closer to a safer, cleaner, and more resilient community.
POST DISASTER NEEDS ASSESSMENT (PDNA) 2025
Strengthening Recovery: Conduct of Post Disaster Needs Assessment (PDNA) in the Municipality of Alitagtag
In reference to National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) Memorandum No. 10, s. 2025, which directs the CALABARZON Regional DRRM Council to conduct a Post-Disaster Needs Assessment (PDNA) and subsequently develop a Rehabilitation and Recovery Program (RRP), the goal is to ensure the rehabilitation of affected areas, facilitate recovery from damages and losses, and oversee reconstruction and risk management.
In response, the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (MDRRMC) of Alitagtag, under the leadership of Chairperson Jo-Ann Ponggos, together with the MDRRMC Response Cluster, provided the necessary information and support requested by the Office of Civil Defense (OCD) - PDNA Deployment Team. The team also joined the ocular inspection of affected barangays conducted on September 9 and 10, 2025, focusing on the Social and Infrastructure Sectors, respectively.
The primary objective of this activity was to assess the disaster’s impact on key sectors in order to develop an effective recovery and rehabilitation plan for the Municipality of Alitagtag. This plan aims to guide reconstruction efforts, address the needs of affected communities, and promote sustainable development.
We extend our sincere appreciation to all PDNA deployment teams for their expertise, guidance, and unwavering commitment throughout the PDNA process. Our heartfelt thanks also go to all Response Clusters for their active involvement and dedication.

2025 National Disaster Resilience Month
Alitagtag Kicks Off National Disaster Resilience Month 2025 with Motorcade
The Municipality of Alitagtag joins the nation in the observance of the 2025 National Disaster Resilience Month (NDRM) with the theme “KUMIKILOS para sa Kahandaan, Kaligtasan, at Katatagan.”
Led by the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (MDRRMC) under the leadership of Chairperson Hon. Edilberto G. Ponggos, and implemented through the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO), the municipality officially kicked off the celebration with a motorcade held on July 4, 2025.
The annual observance of NDRM highlights the importance of promoting a culture of disaster resilience. This year’s theme affirms the Filipino people’s collective and ongoing commitment to disaster preparedness, public safety, and community resilience—emphasizing proactive efforts by individuals, communities, and institutions.
The motorcade, participated in by various DRRM stakeholders, aimed to foster awareness and encourage collaborative action to strengthen Alitagtag’s disaster risk reduction and management efforts.
Together, we continue to build a more prepared, responsive, and resilient Alitagtag.
Oplan Semana Santa | SumVac 2025
In line with RDRRMC Memorandum No. 40, s.2025 regarding the maintenance of Blue Alert Status and the implementation of Emergency Preparedness and Response Protocols, and in anticipation of the increased volume of travelers within the Area of Responsibility (AOR) of the Municipality of Alitagtag during the observance of Holy Week and the Summer Vacation (SumVac) 2025, the Alitagtag Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO), under the leadership of MDRRMC Chairperson Hon. Edilberto G. Ponggos, has activated its Incident Management Team (IMT).
In collaboration with various stakeholders, the MDRRMO has deployed personnel to strategic locations to ensure the safety and security of the public, closely monitor emerging situations, and promptly respond to any emergencies that may arise. This proactive measure aims to mitigate the potential impact of human-induced hazards and ensure a safe and orderly environment for both residents and visitors throughout the Holy Week and summer period.
The Alitagtag MDRRMO remains committed to delivering efficient and effective emergency response and upholding public safety through coordinated efforts and continuous vigilance.
MDRRMO Alitagtag on Blue Alert for 2025 National and Local Elections 2025
In line with its mandate to ensure public safety and effective emergency response, the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) of Alitagtag has been placed on Blue alert for the 2025 National and Local Elections.
Under the leadership of MDRRMC Chairperson Hon. Edilberto G. Ponggos and MGDH-MDRRMO Richard Ian A. Bautista, the MDRRMO has activated its Emergency Operations Center (EOC) to provide 24/7 monitoring of polling areas and rapid deployment capabilities for any emergency situation that may arise before, during, or after election day.
The MDRRMO remains committed to safeguarding the welfare of every Alitagtagenyo by coordinating closely with relevant agencies, ensuring swift response measures, and maintaining a visible presence in strategic locations across the municipality.
We urge all residents to remain calm, vigilant, and cooperative throughout the election period as we strive for a peaceful, orderly, and secure electoral process.
